Check the installation before changing the board

A new consumer unit does not fix faults in existing wiring. We assess the installation, earthing and bonding, identify issues that may affect the work and explain any additional repairs needed.

Protection designed for your circuits

We select suitable protective devices for the installation and the equipment it supplies. The design considers circuit protection and surge protection rather than simply replacing the old board with a similar number of ways.

What to expect on the day

The supply needs to be isolated while the board is changed. We agree the outage, carry out the installation and testing, label the circuits and provide the relevant certification and notification where applicable.

Common questions

Does an old fuse board mean a full rewire?

No. The condition and suitability of the wiring must be assessed separately. We explain what can be retained and what needs attention.

Can you quote from a photograph?

Photos help with an initial estimate, but the final scope may require an inspection and testing. Send photos of the consumer unit, meter and main earthing or bonding where safely visible.
